Eleven Dinse, Knapp & McAndrew attorneys selected for inclusion on the New England Super Lawyers 2012

Dinse, Knapp & McAndrew announces that eleven attorneys have been selected for inclusion on the New England Super Lawyers 2012 list in ten different classes, and two attorneys have been selected for inclusion on the Rising Stars 2012 list. Attorneys are identified as “Super Lawyers” based on extensive nomination and polling among New England attorneys aimed at identifying New England’s top attorneys in each class.

Burlington School District curriculum director appointed to Education Quality Standards Commission

Stephanie Phillips, Curriculum Director for the Burlington School District, has been appointed by The Vermont State Board of Education (SBE) to serve on the Education Quality Standards (EQS) Commission, comprised of Vermont education leaders tasked with recommending a state policy framework. This Commission will build off the work started in 2009 by the Education Transformation Policy Commission.

Gov. Shumlin appoints Norwich attorney Griffin to Superior Court

Gov. Peter Shumlin today appointed Norwich attorney Kevin Griffin to serve as a Superior Court judge to be assigned to Chittenden County.

“Kevin’s extensive litigation background in family and criminal law, as well as his 15 years on the local school board and other civic contributions ensure he brings broad experience to the court,” Gov. Shumlin said. “His intelligence, compassion, and firm sense of fairness will make him a strong addition to the judiciary.”

Rutland County Sheriff's Department hosts ribbon cutting at their new location

The Rutland County Sheriff's Department hosted an open house and RRCC ribbon cutting at their new location, 88 Grove St. in Rutland on November 9th.

Members of the Rutland County Sheriff's Department cut the ribbon along with Tom Donahue,EVP/CEO, Rutland Region Chamber of Commerce; Penny Bride, Rutland County Sheriff's Department; Rutland City Board of Alderman President, Dave Allaire; Rutland County Sheriff Stephen Benard, Rutland City Alderman William Notte; RRCC Board Members Jay Morel and Jerry Hansen.
