John K. Evans appointed President and CEO at Vermont Information Technology Leaders, Inc.

John K. Evans, MHA, FACHE, has been appointed the president and chief executive officer of Vermont Information Technology Leaders, Inc. VITL is a non-profit organization that operates the statewide health information exchange, a secure network that enables health care organizations to exchange clinical and administrative health data needed at the point of care, for clinical decision support and to manage population health. VITL also assists Vermont health care providers with the selection and implementation of electronic health records systems and other health information technology.

Tom Bodett of East Dummerston appointed to the Governor’s Energy Generation Siting Policy Commission

The Vermont Public Service Department has announced the appointment of Tom Bodett of East Dummerston, Vermont, to the Governor’s Energy Generation Siting Policy Commission. Bodett, a writer and broadcast personality, is currently serving his seventh year on the Dummerston Selectboard. Bodett also serves as the municipal representative to the Vermont State Enhanced 911 Board, and lives in a net zero home with geothermal heating. Bodett’s appointment to the Commission comes as a result of the resignation of Jim Matteau of Windham county.

Leadership in Life Institute Graduate – William C. “Bill” Mount

Bill Mount has completed the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisor’s (NAIFA) six-month course on professional and personal development, Leadership in Life Institute (LILI). Mount joined five others in a graduation dinner and ceremony at the Essex Inn on November 9th. This marks the 3rd such class to successfully complete the course in Vermont in the last 3 years.

Broadcasters to honor longtime National Guard spokesman

The Vermont Association of Broadcasters will present a special award to recently-retired Vermont National Guard spokesman Lt. Col. Lloyd Goodrow at their annual awards banquet December 1 in Burlington.

Goodrow, who retired from the Guard earlier this month, will receive a special “Friend of Broadcasters” award for his many years of service to the broadcasting community in Vermont. The Essex Junction native served his state and country for 33 years, including the last 25 years as spokesman for the Vermont Guard
