Paintings by Lois Eby is latest art exhibit at CVMC

Artist Lois Eby started out in life earning a BA in English Literature at Duke University followed by an MA in twentieth century literature and religion at Columbia University. Since the early 80s she has been drawn to the empty yet evocative spaces of Asian paintings and to the energies of African American improvised music. Now living in northern Vermont, Lois’ studio is attached to her home. Originally she studied still life and landscape painting, but eventually she felt the need to push in a different direction.

New trustee joins hospital board

When Tom Milnamow and his wife Judy decided to keep moving north, they finally stopped at the Canadian border, falling in love with the northern most point of the Northeast Kingdom. Having visited southern Vermont since the mid-80’s and having a second home in the Stratton Mountain area, more recently they knew they wanted to make a change. Mr. Milnamow says, “I’m a white collar guy with a blue collar mentality and the area we were in was a little stiff.”

Vermont Works For Women names new members to its management team

Vermont Works for Women has promoted Annie Crawford, of Williston, to its director of operations, managing internal systems of accounting, technology and human resources for the nonprofit organization based in Winooski. Crawford previously served as director of development at VWW for two years, overseeing development and fundraising strategies that generated more than a half-million dollars per year.

Mattison promoted to emergency services manager at United Counseling Service

United Counseling Service is proud to announce the promotion of Anna Mattison to emergency services manager. Mattison has over 25 years of experience at UCS helping people in crisis situations, and recently served as the interim emergency services manager.

Mattison will work in UCS’ Battelle crisis center, where previous to her management role; she served as the emergency services police liaison.

Mark Dayvie, CPA joins the ranks at Grippin Donlan Pinkham

David Grippin, Managing Partner of Grippin Donlan Pinkham has announced that Mark Dayvie, CPA has been hired as a manager in the firm.

Mark received his Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Accounting from Babson College in 2007. He has a diverse background of audit industry experience including A-133 compliance, higher education, captive insurance and life insurance. Mark received his Vermont CPA certification in 2009 and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
