NBT Bank hires O’Brien as business development officer

NBT Bank New England Regional President Matthew Durkee announced that Peter O’Brien has been hired as assistant vice president and business development officer.
In this position, O’Brien is responsible for developing and managing relationships with the Bank’s consumer and commercial customers in Rutland County, Vermont, and Washington County, New York.
O’Brien has 27 years of banking experience. Before joining NBT Bank, he was branch manager and business development officer for TD Bank in Granville, New York. “We welcome Peter to NBT Bank,” Durkee said. “His experience serving the financial needs of customers in the local community will be a valuable asset as we look to enhance our customer relationships and expand our presence in the market.”
A resident of Wells, Vermont, O’Brien holds a bachelor’s degree from Western New England College in Springfield, Massachusetts. He serves as treasurer and board member of Haynes House of Hope, treasurer and past president of the Granville Rotary Club and is a founding board member of the Slate Valley Museum.
