Essex Junction wastewater treatment plant water quality superintendent recognized for outstanding service

James Jutras, Water Quality Superintendent for the Essex Junction, Vermont Wastewater Treatment Plant, was honored by EPA with a "2013 Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Excellence Award" recently. Mr. Jutras was selected for the recognition because of the outstanding job he has performed over the years in operating and maintaining the Essex Junction facility.

Cancer patient support program names executive board members

At the recent annual meeting of the cancer patient support program (CPS), a new executive board was named. Continuing for a second term, Diane Freiheit, MS was named president. A member of the CPS Board since 2009, Freiheit is a licensed Psychologist-Master and psychotherapist in private practice. Before entering her private practice, she was the head of the Employee Assistance Program and Work Life Services at UVM for 22 years.

Dr. Jeanette West joins North Country OB/GYN

The first female OB/GYN in the history of North Country OB/GYN joined the practice February 10. Dr. Jeanette West has relocated to Newport from North Conway, NH where she worked at Memorial Hospital and at MWV Health Care Associates. She joins Dr. Peter Stuart, Dr. William Peck and Certified Nurse Midwife Lesley Rae Larsen.

Dr. West obtained her medical degree from the University of Florida. She completed her residency as Chief Resident of Abington Memorial Hospital outside of Philadelphia.

New structural engineering firm, Sellers Treybal Structural Engineers, opens

Greg Sellers, P.E., LEED AP and John Treybal, P.E. have announced the recent opening of their new structural engineering firm, Sellers Treybal Structural Engineers (STS), with their main office in Shelburne and part-time office in Middlebury. Greg and John combine more than 28 years of structural engineering and project management experience on all types of building projects, big and small. Greg, a resident of Middlebury is looking forward to serving the Middlebury and Central Vermont community with their company’s local presence.
