Bob-White Systems announces new hires

Steven Judge, President of Bob-White Systems – the Vermont farmstead cheese and micro diary supply and equipment company, announces the following new hires:

Kate Pierson has been named Office Manager at the Bob-White Systems South Royalton Storefront responsible for managing the office and sales of micro dairy and cheese making supplies and equipment. Pierson was previously an event coordinator at the Three Stallion Inn in Randolph. She resides in Royalton.

Country Business, Inc welcomes new associate

John Stimets, Vice President of Country Business, Inc. (CBI) has announced that Reid L. Williams has joined the Burlington office as an Associate. CBI is New England’s largest privately held business brokerage firm with offices in New England, New York and Atlantic Canada and specializes in the sale of privately held businesses. Mr. Williams will be working in Northern Vermont and concentrating his efforts in Lamoille, Washington and Orange County.

John W. Davis attends the AICPA 2011 Family Law Conference in Las Vegas

John W. Davis, CPA, CFP®, CVA with the accounting firm of Davis & Hodgdon Associates CPAs, PLC of Williston recently attended the 2011 AICPA Family Law Conference Training Institute, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Mr. Davis completed specialized coursework on divorce valuations which included presentations on tax issues of child support, the use of tax planning in divorce settlements as well as presentations focused on reducing tax exposure and marital dissolution in tough economic times.

Vermont Teddy Bear Company promotes two employees

Vermont Teddy Bear Company announces the promotion of Adam Sbardellati to Distribution Manager. Adam started at the Vermont Teddy Bear Company in 2005 in an entry level position in the Receiving Department. From there, he moved into a supervisory position in the Shipping Department and gradually absorbed similar responsibilities in Receiving and Fulfillment until his promotion to Distribution Manager. Adam is a graduate of St. Johnsbury Academy and the University of Vermont.

RehabGYM welcomes new employees

Matt Smith joins the team at the RehabGYM as a staff physical therapist at our Colchester location. He comes most recently from the Steadman Hawkins clinic in Colorado. Matt graduated from Gettysburg College in 2005 and received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Drexel University in 2008. Matt's special interests lie in sports rehabilitation as well as sport-specific training. Matt has had the opportunity to rehab professional free skiers and snowboarders, UFC fighters, and athletes in both the NFL and MLB.

President and CEO Arthur Nichols, and Chief Medical Officer John Schlegelmilch, MD, recently presented the Presidents’ Service Excellence Award. This prestigious award recognizes extraordinary service among employees characterized by compassion, responsiveness to the needs of others, and a positive team-oriented attitude. This year’s award honors Michael Daley, APRN, and Larry Milliron.

Specialty Food Association elects Directors & Officers

The Vermont Specialty Food Association has re-elected Kim Crosby as President. Crosby owns and operates Vermont Roots, a distributor of Vermont specialty foods in Rutland. Also elected were Jack Gilbert of Gringo Jack’s as Vice President and Bob Christoffel of Creative Labels as Secretary-Treasurer.

In addition, the following people were elected or re-elected to serve on the organization’s board of directors: Laurie Callahan of Cabot Creamery, Bob Christoffel of Creative Labels and Don Posner of Gormly’s.

Matt Henderson joins Marketing Partners

Marketing Partners, Inc. is pleased to announce the addition of Matthew Henderson as an Assistant Account Executive. In his new role, Matt will provide public relations assistance and media tracking services.

He joins Marketing Partners as a recent graduate the University of Vermont with a Bachelors of Science degree in Political Science. Prior to joining as full-time employee, Matt was a student-intern at Marketing Partners.
