Vermont Ski And Snowboard Museum welcomes four new board members

The Vermont Ski and Snowboard Museum has welcomed four new members to its board of directors as the institution charts a course for its second decade in its iconic Stowe location. The museum is dedicated to collecting and preserving and celebrating the history of skiing and snowboarding in Vermont. It also features an educational outreach program for schools and the media. Joining the board are Denise Cushwa, Rick Hamlin, Greg Morrill and Lance Violette.

Vermont Teddy Bear Company welcomes new COO and Director of Global Sourcing

Vermont Teddy Bear Company announces the promotion of Katie Camardo to Senior VP, Chief Operating Officer. Most recently, Katie was the Vice President of Operations until her promotion in November. Katie’s current role oversees the management of our Global Sourcing Team, Employee & Customer Relations, Manufacturing and Distribution.

Since joining VTB in August of 1997 as the Retail Store Manager, she has been the Director of Sales Operations & Director of Operations.

Lucey, Mossman, Wallace Named University Distinguished Professors

The University of Vermont has named three new University Distinguished Professors: Jerold F. Lucey, Brooke T. Mossman, and Susan S. Wallace. The University Distinguished Professors program was founded in 2009 with the objective of recognizing and honoring UVM professors who, over an extended period of time, have attained an international reputation in the areas of teaching, research and scholarship, and service, and for that reason bring great distinction to their home institution.

T-Mobile appoints John Diefenbach as Vice President General Manager of New England

As T-Mobile USA increases its presence in the greater New England area the company today appointed John Diefenbach as the first vice president general manager for the area, responsible for sales across all T-Mobile retail properties, customer growth and loyalty efforts. Diefenbach’s region consists of the states of New England, including Connecticut, New Hampshire, Maine, Rhode Island, Vermont and Massachusetts.

Ob/gyn Dr. Dina Levin joins Gifford, Randolph community

It’s only been a month since Dr. Dina Levin, an ob/gyn, came to Randolph to work at Gifford Medical Center.

In that brief time, she’s bought a home just down South Main Street from the hospital, enrolled her kids in the Randolph Elementary School, gotten library cards for the family, seen both movies that have come to the Playhouse theater, spoken to a health class at the high school, participated in the running program at the Three Stallion Inn, lost a tree in a thunderstorm and had a pet experience a Vermont canine ritual: baptism by skunk.

In short, she’s settled in.

Rachel Bruce, MD, joins Rutland Regional Medical Center

Rutland Regional Medical Center is pleased to welcome Rachel Bruce, MD, to its staff of exceptional physicians.

After taking some time off to take care of her new daughter, Dr. Bruce is joining the staff of Rutland Regional’s Hospitalist Program. A hospitalist is a fully qualified, experienced doctor who directs the care for most patients when they are admitted to a hospital.

They do everything that your primary care physician would do and they keep your doctor up to date on all of the treatment you undergo while you were in the hospital.

CVMC gives awards for service

CVMC’s 33rd Annual Service Awards have been announced. “It is with great pride that I congratulate you on your many years of service to CVMC. You make up the very fabric of our culture. Your dedication and commitment to our organization is commendable,” said Judy Tarr, President and CEO. 35 year award recipients included Kathy Pelletier, RN, Bob Green, RN and Marilyn Hart, MD. Awards were also given to James Chandler, MD and Mary Viens, LPN.
