NPI welcomes new member to sales team

NPI, also known as Network Performance Inc., an Information Communications Technology provider located in South Burlington, Vermont is pleased to announce that Jay Pilcer has joined the company’s Sales Team. Jay will lead the sales efforts in the VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) marketplace.

Jay brings more than 25 years of experience in sales, business development and customer service to NPI’s growing technology market segment. Jay holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of Vermont.

Vermont Public Radio wins Three National Edward R. Murrow Awards

Vermont Public Radio has been honored with three 2011 national Edward R. Murrow Awards for excellence in electronic journalism. Reporter Steve Zind and VPR’s news and programming staff were recognized for the documentary Afghanistan’s Other War,, use of sound in a report on night patrol with the Vermont National Guard and the Afghan National Police, and for writing in An Appreciation of the Cluster Fly.

Alyssum appoints first executive director

Alyssum, Incorporated recently appointed its first Executive Director. Gloria van den Berg of Rochester, Vermont will take the leadership role of the newly organized non-profit. Alyssum has been formed to assist Vermont residents who are experiencing emotional crisis. It is an alternative to psychiatric hospitalization and will provide a safe, mutually supportive, non-judgmental, educational and self-empowering environment.
