Vermont Teddy Bear Company announces the promotion of Amy Sylvia to Director of Distribution. In her new role, Amy will be overseeing the management of the receiving, warehouse, onsite and remote fulfillment, personalization, shipping, facilities and inventory control functions. Amy joined the Company full time in May of 1993 as a production employee. In the 18 years with the Company she has held several positions in Production, Accounting, Purchasing, Warehouse and Inventory Control.

David Scott earns Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer

Steve Sicinski appointed Executive Chef of Topnotch Resort

Topnotch Resort and Spa in Stowe, Vermont has announced the appointment of Steve Sicinski as Executive Chef. With classical French training and a talent for "intelligent cuisine," Sicinski will oversee all dining operations at the award-winning resort, including the creation of new menus from fresh local ingredients at Norma's, the Buttertub Bistro and The Spa at Topnotch, as well as in-room dining, banquets and special events. Sicinski joined the hotel earlier this month.

St Michael’s College assistant director of volunteer service receives Class of 2011 Appreciation Award

Burlington resident Erin Collins Bodin, Saint Michael’s College assistant director of community service, was recognized for her service to students with a Class Appreciation Award from the Class of 2011 at the annual SMC Senior Awards Luncheon held May 13th. The award is given to a person who “has made a significant impact within the class.”

SMC Senior Class VP Frederick Osborne of Burlington presented the award, stating that Erin Bodin’s efforts “to bring community service to St. Mike’s are outstanding and inspiring, and make for a better campus life.”

NRG Systems adds to Engineering Team

Wind measurement equipment manufacturer, NRG Systems, announces the addition of Jim Pitman to its team as senior electrical engineer. Pitman comes to NRG Systems from Suss Microtec in Waterbury Center, where he worked as a senior electrical engineer since 2001. Previously he was an electrical engineer consultant to Sembotics, a South Burlington firm, and also worked for Asyst Technologies in Burlington. Pitman has a patent and received his associate’s degree in electrical engineering from Keene State College (NH).
