Burlington resident Erin Collins Bodin, Saint Michael’s College assistant director of community service, was recognized for her service to students with a Class Appreciation Award from the Class of 2011 at the annual SMC Senior Awards Luncheon held May 13th. The award is given to a person who “has made a significant impact within the class.”
SMC Senior Class VP Frederick Osborne of Burlington presented the award, stating that Erin Bodin’s efforts “to bring community service to St. Mike’s are outstanding and inspiring, and make for a better campus life.”
“Erin shows students how small, local efforts go a long way,” Osborne said. Ms. Bodin has worked in the U.S. and beyond, “giving of herself in some of the most impoverished cities in the world,” he said. “She has worked selflessly for our school, and class, and has left an impact on so many of the students here, that surely they will take with them forever.”
