Nurse Practitioner Lauren Bailey joins CVMC’s Mountainview Medical

Montpelier resident Lauren Bailey, MSN, CHPN, BC-APRN recently joined Mountainview Medical on Central Vermont Medical Center’s campus in Berlin. In addition to being a nurse practitioner Lauren is a certified hospice and palliative care nurse.

Lauren received her undergraduate degree from Quinnipiac University in Connecticut and received her nursing degree from Vermont Technical College. She graduated from the adult nurse practitioner program at George Washington University where she was in the Honor Society of Nursing.

Prof Robert Niemi receives 2012 Scholarship and Artistic Achievement Award at St Michael's College Academic Convocation

Dr. Robert James Niemi, Saint Michael's College professor of English, received the 2012 Scholarship and Artistic Achievement Award, presented in ceremonies held September 28 at the annual Saint Michael's College Academic Convocation in the SMC McCarthy Arts Center. Professor Niemi was selected by his faculty colleagues, and the citation was read by last year’s recipient of the award, mathematics professor, Dr. Joanna Ellis-Monaghan, who also gave the Convocation Address, “Math and the World.”

Prof Valerie Banschbach receives 2012 Service Award at St Michael's College Academic Convocation

Jericho resident, Dr. Valerie S. Banschbach, Saint Michael's College professor of biology, received the 2012 Norbert A. Kuntz Service Award, presented in ceremonies held September 28 at the annual Saint Michael's College Academic Convocation in the SMC McCarthy Arts Center. Professor Banschbach was selected by her faculty colleagues, and the citation was read by last year’s recipients of the award, chemistry professor Dr. Bret Findley and religious studies professor, Dr. Edward Mahoney.

Daniel Pascale CPP joins Margolis Healy

Margolis Healy announced Daniel Pascale CPP has joined its team of full-time professionals as the Senior Director of Security and Emergency Management Services.

Most recently Pascale served as the Senior Director of Emergency Communications and Security Technology for the University of Chicago. Previously to the University of Chicago, he served 9 years with Rutgers University where he held the position of Commander of Security Operations and later the Director of Emergency Management.

Prof Vincent L. Bolduc receives 2012 Teaching Award at St Michael's College Academic Convocation

South Burlington resident, Dr. Vincent L. Bolduc, Saint Michael's College professor of sociology, received the 2012 Joanne Rathgeb Teaching Award, presented in ceremonies held September 28 at the annual Saint Michael's College Academic Convocation in the SMC McCarthy Arts Center. Professor Bolduc was selected by his faculty colleagues, and the citation was read by the 2010 recipient of the award, geography professor, Dr. Richard Kujawa.

Vermont Teddy Bear Company welcomes new employees

In November of 2011 Kristin Meeker joined Vermont Teddy Bear Company as a seasonal Universal Gift Counselor. In August of this year Meeker transitioned into a core employee.

James Langeway started seasonally with The Vermont Teddy Bear Company in January of 2008 as a Universal Gift Counselor. In the years following he also worked seasonally in maintenance, shipping and warehouse positions. In August of this year Langeway was made core as a Maintenance Technician.
