Terri Rosenstock of Lebanon, N.H. has been awarded Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) certification from the Public Relations Society of America. Rosenstock is public relations coordinator with King Arthur Flour in Norwich, Vermont. The APR is a mark of distinction for public relations professionals, demonstrating a commitment to ethical practice, knowledge, strategic perspective and sound professional judgment.

St Michael's College Psychology Professor, Dr. Ronald Miller, elected to Fellow status in the American Psychological Association

Dr. Ronald Miller, professor of psychology at Saint Michael's College, was named to Fellow status in the American Psychological Association, effective September 2012. Dr. Miller is also director of the SMC master’s program in clinical psychology, a program he helped found in 1983. He was elected to the Fellows position by the APA Fellows Committee on the recommendation of the APA Board of Directors and APA Council of Representatives. About 6% of the eligible APA membership holds the status of being an APA Fellow.

VHB welcomes Jenny Austin, PE to its Vermont office

VHB is pleased to announce Jenny Austin, PE has joined the Transportation Engineering group in its North Ferrisburgh, VT office. Jenny most recently worked for Resource Systems Group (RSG) in White River Junction, where she focused on transportation design and planning, traffic studies and analysis. Jenny, a resident of Stockbridge, VT, is a UVM graduate and was named Vermont Young Engineer of the Year in 2009. Jenny’s experience in planning and design of transportation projects ranges from roadways, sidewalks, intersections, corridor studies, and village improvements.

MA elementary school to be named for Norwich alumnus killed in Iraq

A new Norfolk, Mass. elementary school will be dedicated this weekend and formally named in part for a Norwich University alumnus and Norfolk native, Adam Kennedy, who was killed in Iraq in 2007. At the age of 25, SGT Adam Kennedy ’04, US Army, of Norfolk, Mass, was killed during his first tour of duty in Iraq from an improvised explosive device south of Baghdad on Sunday April 8, 2007. Kennedy was a member of the 4th Brigade, 25th Infantry Division out of Fort Richardson, Alaska.

Johnson State College welcomes two new faculty members

Johnson State College welcomes two new full-time faculty members to the college for the 2012-2013 academic year: Associate Professor David Plazek Ph.D formerly of Lyndon State College, will teach political science as a member of JSC's Department of Humanities. He received both his doctorate and master's degrees in political science from West Virginia University, and he holds a master of arts in public affairs from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
