TD Bank, America’s Most Convenient Bank®, has promoted Erika D. Downing to Store Manager of the store located 39 Main St. in Stowe, Vt. She is responsible for new business development, consumer and business lending, managing personnel and overseeing the day-to-day operations at the store serving customers throughout the region.

Downing has eight years of combined experience in customer service, banking, sales and marketing. She joined TD Bank in 2009 as a Teller and most recently served as a Customer Service Representative.

The board of the Vermont Employee Ownership Center (VEOC) has announced that Jon Crystal will be stepping down at the end of September as Executive Director and that Mike Sessions has agreed to serve in that role on an interim basis.

The Vermont Standards Board for Professional Educators (VSBPE) appointed Steven John to serve as Board Chair for the 2012-2013 year. John is currently the Superintendent of Windham Central Supervisory Union (WCSU) in Townshend.

Bill Young, Executive Director of Maple Leaf Farm has announced the appointment of Michael Mooney as Facilities Manager. Mooney brings years of experience to the facility, having served in a similar capacity with Northeast Kingdom Human Services.

The Board of Directors of/Forest Moon: Celebrating Cancer Survivorship/ announced that Richard Ewald of Westminster West, VT has been hired as the organization's new Executive Director.

Ewald most recently was Director of Planning & Development at the Connecticut River Watershed Council, an environmental non-profit based in Greenfield, MA. The Vermont Natural Resources Council this week will be recognizing John Ewing of Burlington with the Arthur Gibb Award for Individual Leadership.

“For more than ten years, John Ewing has helped us all understand the vast social and environmental costs of scattered, low density development and the need to develop better models for Vermont,” said Brian Shupe, VNRC’s executive director. “He also has an unusual talent for working with a wide variety of people and developing consensus.”

Eric Parsons has joined the staff at Southern Vermont College as Registrar and Director of Institutional Research. In his role as Registrar, Parsons will be responsible for the maintenance of student academic records, registration and course enrollment, transfer credit evaluation, grade submission, degree audits, transcripts, graduation certification, and academic catalogues.

Killington Mountain School (KMS) recently announced that former US Grand Prix Slopestyle Competitor and former Vermont State Trooper Cassandra Herbes has been appointed to the post of head freestyle snowboard coach at the ski and snowboard academy.
