Union Bank has announced the promotions of veteran employees Karyn Hale and Carrie Locklin as part of its ongoing organizational realignment to better support the institution's strategic goals and growth.

Alysia Straw, former recruitment and workforce development specialist at Springfield Hospital, has been named director of health careers exploration at Southern Vermont AHEC, a nonprofit educational organization dedicated to growing and sustaining southern Vermont’s health workforce, especially in  rural and underserved communities.

Jillian Earle, direct support professional for Project SEARCH at the Community Care Network in Rutland, has been named Vermont’s Direct Support Professional of the Year by ANCOR, the nation’s leading advocacy organization for community-based providers supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Megan Grube, director of curriculum, instruction and technology at Grand Isle Supervisory Union, has been named the next assistant superintendent of the Maple Run Unified Union School District, effective July 1. She will succeed John Muldoon, who has served in the post since July 2021.

Paul Kowalski has been promoted from personal banker to branch relationship manager at the Woodstock office of Bar Harbor Bank & Trust. In this new role, he leads the retail banking team to provide solutions and guidance to help individuals, families and businesses in Woodstock and surrounding communities meet their financial goals.

Holly O’Brien, former senior relationship manager at M&T Bank, has been named relationship manager for business banking at KeyBank. In this new position, O’Brien is responsible for lending and developing as well as growing business banking relationships throughout Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont.

As part of its expansion into southern New Hampshire, ReArch Construction, formerly ReArch Co., has hired Darrell “Britt” Britton as vice president of corporate development and mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, and Mike McLaughlin as vice president and project executive.

Alison Sherman, an attorney at Downs Rachlin Martin law firm in Burlington, has been elected a fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel for the state of Vermont. ACTEC is the premier trust and estate planning fellowship in the United States.

Jill Mazza Olson, executive director at VNAs of Vermont, has been appointed as the health care representative to the new Vermont Workforce Development Board. She joins 26 other appointed board members that will advise the governor on state workforce policies.
