Mazza Olson appointed to Vermont Workforce Development Board

Jill Mazza Olson

Jill Mazza Olson, executive director at VNAs of Vermont, has been appointed as the health care representative to the new Vermont Workforce Development Board. She joins 26 other appointed board members that will advise the governor on state workforce policies.

Mazza Olson brings an extensive health care background to the board, with experience in the home health and hospice, hospital and health insurance sectors. Notably, she led the VNAs of Vermont through the acute phase of the COVID-19 pandemic, ensuring that home health agencies had the tools necessary to support their workforces during the challenges of a global pandemic.

“It is clear that there is no silver bullet to solving Vermont’s workforce challenges,” Mazza Olson said. “However, it is critical that employers across sectors, including health care, have the tools and resources they need to remain competitive employers, as the board works with the chair, the governor’s administration and the Legislature to attract more workers to the state.”
