Stowe Mountain Resort officially opened for the 2010/2011 winter

season on Wednesday, November 24. The centerpiece of Stowe Mountain

Resort is undoubtedly the four-diamond, ski-in ski-out Stowe Mountain Lodge

located at the heart of the resort. With the launch of the new winter season,

Stowe Mountain Lodge and Stowe Mountain Resort are poised for a grand

re-opening. A multitude of new additions including the South Wing of

Stowe Mountain Lodge, Spruce Peak Performing Arts Center, new menu

Robert F. Kischko, P.E., Joins DuBois & King

DuBois & King, Inc., consulting engineers announce that Robert F. Kischko,

P.E., has joined the firm’s Building Services Division as Senior Electrical

Engineer and Electrical Department Manager. Mr. Kischko is a Professional

Engineer* *(P.E.) with 30 years of consulting engineering experience

specializing in electrical design for utility, commercial, institutional,

and municipal projects. Mr. Kischko lives in Springfield, Vermont and works

out of the firm’s Springfield office.

Lund Family Center Elects Halvorson and Paul to Board of Trustees

Karen Paul of Burlington VT and Tim Halvorson of Charlotte VT were recently

elected to the Lund Family Center Board of Trustees.

Karen Paul grew up in Burlington and “watched Lund over many years transform

itself into a center serving families and young women with children and

fostering an environment that embraces adoption.” Ms. Paul serves as City

Councilor for Burlington’s Ward 6 and is President of Paul Financial

Services, a financial management firm. Ms. Paul brings to Lund a wealth of

Killington Mountain School Appoints Steve Palmer as Head Mogul Coach for the Eastern Qualifier Series

Killington Mountain School (KMS) recently announced the appointment

of Killington veteran freestyler Steve Palmer to the position of head coach

for the Eastern Qualifier (EQS) Series, also known as the B Mogul Team,

for KMS and the Killington Winter Sports Club/KMS Competitions Programs.

Palmer began skiing at age two and joined the Killington Freestyle Team

from its Hopeful Program in the mid 70s where he competed until the

early 80s. He spent two years on the U.S. Junior National Team prior to

Gervais and Sam Gervais, both of Prime Renovation Group, recently became select members of professional builders, remodelers, and other industry professionals nationwide who have earned the Certified Green Professional (CGP) designation, identifying them as someone with knowledge of the best strategies for incorporating green building principles into homes. The CGP program is administered by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Education and sponsored locally by HBRA of Northern Vermont.

Ashley Nicholls to its client group as brand manager.

Nicholls comes to KSV from Boston, where she leveraged her talents for

Accor, focusing on strategic campaign management and sustainability

consultations for Fortune 500 clients. Nicholls is most recently from

New Breed Marketing where she was senior account executive, working on

campaigns for Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, Pizzagalli Construction

Company and Northern Power Systems.
