Charlotte Potter Designs and tylerWARE are proud to present a Holiday Studio Sale located at Mad River Valley’s own Big Picture Theatre. The sale runs from 3-8pm, coinciding with Valley Night, $1/$3 drafts beginning at 7pm.
These two artists were born and raised in the Mad River Valley and both freshly returned after 12 years to open their own businesses. They share a studio in Waitsfield that was formally Charlotte’s mothers celebrated Peggy Potter Bowls.
Charlotte Potter Designs is a custom glass and mixed media jewelry company. Charlotte is traditionally trained as a glass blower and has worked at glass studios and residency programs nationwide. In 2006 she founded Charlotte Potter Designs in Jackson Hole Wyoming, and recently relocated it to the Mad River Valley upon competing her graduate work at the Rhode Island School of Design. Charlotte produces fresh, bold, clean design for the everyday and everyone. Her sister, musician Grace Potter is the earring model.
Lea Tyler is a skilled ceramic artist, holding a BFA from SUNY New Paltz. After extensive world travel, Lea opened a gallery and recycled furniture store in Carbondale Colorado. Craving her own artistic practice, she returned to Vermont to take on the next generation of Peggy Potter Bowls. These hand painted wooden bowls celebrate festive color, beauty, and functionality. Lea is both continuing the traditional Peggy Potter designs as well as fresh inspired tylerWARE designs with ceramic components soon to come.
