Vermont Chamber of Commerce President Betsy Bishop

has been appointed by Governor Douglas to the Vermont Economic

Development Authority (VEDA) board of directors.

"I'm looking forward to working with VEDA," said Bishop, "the funds they

lend help create business growth and development that is crucial for

Vermont's future."

Bishop has been President of the Vermont Chamber since July 2009. She

came to the Vermont Chamber after having been Commissioner of Economic

Peter G. Anderson, President of Stowe Charities, Inc,. has announced

that a new Events Coordinator has been named for the 13th Annual Stowe

Wine and Food Classic.

Sharon Radtke has been chosen as the coordinator for the 2011 Stowe

Wine and Food Classic which will be held at the Trapp Family Lodge June

24, 25 & 26, 2011.

Ms. Radtke, owns SharonT Events, LLC, providing events planning and

fundraising services for businesses throughout Vermont. Sharon has over

Rick Fleming of Fleming Oil in Brattleboro Vermont was named the new

President of the Vermont Fuel Dealers Association. The VFDA Executive

Board unanimously elected Fleming to the volunteer leadership post at

their annual winter meeting. Rick succeeds Peter Bourne of Bourne’s

Energy in Morrisville. Bourne will remain on the VFDA Executive Board.

"Rick is a respected leader in the fuel industry. VFDA members and staff

are fortunate to have Rick accept this important role," said Matt Cota,

VFDA’s Executive Director.

Jon Margolis, a regular panelist on Vermont Public Television’s “Vermont

This Week,” closed his Vermont Newsguy blog last month, but he will continue

to keep an eye on Vermont news.

Margolis will be on the program Friday, Dec. 10, at 7:30 p.m. (re-airs

Sunday at 11:30 a.m.), in his last appearance as the “Newsguy.” He will

announce his new assignment as special correspondent for Vermont Public

Television's web site, vpt.org. Starting in January 2011, Margolis will

of 2010 and was initially hired as a network administrator. In this role, he
