Peter G. Anderson, President of Stowe Charities, Inc,. has announced
that a new Events Coordinator has been named for the 13th Annual Stowe
Wine and Food Classic.
Sharon Radtke has been chosen as the coordinator for the 2011 Stowe
Wine and Food Classic which will be held at the Trapp Family Lodge June
24, 25 & 26, 2011.
Ms. Radtke, owns SharonT Events, LLC, providing events planning and
fundraising services for businesses throughout Vermont. Sharon has over
twenty year's of experience coordinating events of all sizes. She served
as Events and Marketing Coordinator/Arts Program Coordinator for the
City of East Lansing, Michigan coordinating city events including the
East Lansing Art Festival and National Folk Festival. In 2000, Ms.
Radtke was hired by Michigan State University's Alumni Association to
coordinate Homecoming Parades; Class Reunions; and Big 10 Home Game
Hospitality Tents. In 2007, Sharon moved to Vermont to be closer to
family and became Executive Director of First Night Burlington for two
years. In April 2010, she began SharonT Events, and her clients include
the Burlington Chamber Orchestra; the Community Health Center of
Burlington; the Champlain Valley Folk Festival; the Vermont
International Festival; and the South End Arts and Business
Association's Art Hop.
The Stowe Wine and Food Classic (SWFC) was created as an event to
celebrate fine wines and superb cuisine. Now in its 13th year, the SWFC
is an established New England event, receiving high accolades from its
participants and attendees. Proceeds from the event benefit Copley
Hospital, the area's community hospital. The three-day event includes
wine seminars, a grand tasting of fine wines and superb cuisine, and a
rare wines auction at the world famous Trapp Family Lodge. Northern New
England's premiere wine event, the SWFC attracts both serious and novice
wine and food lovers.
