Barry Fauteux transitions to lead Merchants Bank St Albans Branch
Kelley Jordick, division manager of Community Banking for Merchants Bank, announced the appointment of Barry Fauteux to the position of Community Banking Manager of the St. Albans branch. Fauteux joined the Merchants Bank team in January of 2014 as a Floating Personal Banker for our Northwestern Region. Clear Water Filtration makes annual donation to Pure Water for the World
Clear Water Filtration of Warren, has made their annual donation to Rutland-based non-profit, Pure Water for the World, in the amount of $5,000. Pure Water for the World is an International organization bringing sustainable safe water solutions to rural and under-served regions of Haiti and Honduras. Jen Fleckenstein, Business Manager for Clear Water Filtration, has traveled to both countries and volunteered her time installing bio-sand filters, building latrines and participating in community hygiene education clinics.

Local family business celebrated
The University of Vermont recently held its annual celebration and recognition of entrepreneurship and family businesses. Three awards were given out to recognize UVM alumni or Vermont family based businesses that have overcome the challenges of succession from one generation to the next to achieve long lasting success. The Galfetti and Zecchinelli families of the Wayside Restaurant in Montpelier received the Vermont Legacy Achievement Award.
