IPPI announces new board member

The Institute of Professional Practice, Inc, a non-profit human services organization that serves adults and children with developmental disabilities announced today the addition of a new member to its Board of Directors. Steven Karcher was installed on November 8, 2016 as the organization’s newest board member. Current Board of Directors chairman, Michael Chater, states that, “IPPI is very excited by the addition of Steve Karcher. He is a highly qualified professional who will bring valuable skills and experiences to our organization”.

Petry named Nurse Manager at Grace Cottage Hospital

Grace Cottage Hospital has hired Christopher Petry as its Nurse Manager. He will oversee the daily operations of the hospital’s Emergency Department and Inpatient Nursing Unit. Petry earned his RN degree from Weber State University in 2012. He earned his LPN, EMT and trauma medical certifications while serving in the Army Nursing Corps, and he continues in active service through the Reserves Nursing Corps.

Basin Harbor chef named Culinary Cup Champion

Chef Christian Kruse, Executive Chef of the Basin Harbor Club was named the Culinary Cup winner at the 2nd annual Culinary Classic to benefit the Cancer Patient Support Foundation (CPSF). The Culinary Classic featured 6 of the areas top chefs : Chef Donnell Collins of Leunig’s Bistro & Café, Chef David Hoene of Pauline’s Café, Chef Shawn Calley of the Burlington Country Club, Chef Narin Phanthakhot of Butch & Babe’s, Chef Kevin Sprouse of the Farmhouse, and Chef Christian Kruse of the Basin Harbor Club.
