Petry named Nurse Manager at Grace Cottage Hospital

Grace Cottage Hospital has hired Christopher Petry as its Nurse Manager. He will oversee the daily operations of the hospital’s Emergency Department and Inpatient Nursing Unit. Petry earned his RN degree from Weber State University in 2012. He earned his LPN, EMT and trauma medical certifications while serving in the Army Nursing Corps, and he continues in active service through the Reserves Nursing Corps.

He worked as a nurse at Davis Hospital and Sunshine Terrace Skilled Nursing Facility, both in Utah, and most recently was Health Services Director for the Equinox Terrace in Manchester, VT, where he grew up. Petry was first introduced to Grace Cottage during a job fair last year and was hired as a per diem, working occasional weekends. “The staff is super friendly, and I’ve been glad for a more active nursing role,” he says. “It’s a close-knit community, so I was excited about the opportunity to be here full-time.”

“Chris is a great addition to the team. His unique background makes him well positioned to lead under all circumstances,” says Jeanne Fortier, Chief Nursing Officer. “We’re pleased to have him on staff.”

Grace Cottage Hospital is a non-profit Critical Access Hospital located in Townshend, with a 24/7/365 emergency department for critical care, a 19-bed inpatient facility for acute and rehabilitative services, a palliative care suite, laboratory, and diagnostic imaging.
