Business Roundtable elects new leadership for 2017

At its 30th Annual Membership Meeting held at The Capitol Plaza, the Vermont Business Roundtable elected one new director to his first three-year term: Tom Dunn, Vermont Electric Power Company. Elected to their second three-year term were the following directors: Jill Berry Bowen, Northwestern Medical Center, Geoff Glaspie, Husky Injection Molding, Bill Shouldice IV, Vermont Teddy Bear, and John Wilking, Neville Company.

MAHHC’s Gastroenterology Department welcomes Lauren Tormey, MD

Lauren Tormey, MD, a board-certified gastroenterologist, has joined the staff of the Gastroenterology Department at Mt Ascutney Hospital and Health Center (MAHHC) where she will be performing colonoscopies, endoscopies, and outpatient consultations. Dr Tormey has extensive experience as a medical researcher and from 2013 to 2016 was the principal investigator for a clinical study involving adults with inflammatory bowel disease. She has also worked at Yale-New Haven Hospital in Connecticut on a study of the therapeutic effect of statins in the treatment of hepatitis C.

Beau Ties Ltd of Vermont names new Co-President /CEO

Beau Ties Ltd of Vermont has named Elizabeth Smith and Cy Day Tall as the company’s new Co-President / CEO. The pair will assume leadership over all corporate functions including merchandising, operations, production, marketing, technology, finance and sales. Joni Gaines new Property Asset Manager at MSI

Manufacturing Solutions, Inc (MSI), a full-scale contract manufacturing, logistics, and commercial leasing company, has announced Joni Gaines as their new Property Asset Manager. In this newly established role, Gaines will be responsible for researching and identifying new real estate opportunities, in addition to providing comprehensive analysis, marketing, and sales of current rental properties. Her decades of real estate expertise will further aid in the preparation of MSI’s annual budget, reporting, customer service and financial performance.

Tim Sampson elected director at DRM

Attorney Timothy S Sampson of Charlotte has been named a director of the northern New England law firm Downs Rachlin Martin PLLC. Sampson was elected at the firm’s annual meeting in December and became a director on Jan 1. “Tim is a remarkable person and lawyer who has managed to serve major clients in the Washington DC area while commuting from his home in Charlotte for more than 10 years,” said David J Sylvester, chair of the Business Law Practice Group at DRM.
