Philip Soltau, a volunteer with the AARP Foundation's free tax-assistance program for low- and moderate-income families, has been honored with the 2025 AARP Andrus Award for Community Service in Vermont. This award, AARP’s highest honor, is presented annually to a volunteer who has significantly impacted their community.

Dr. Rick Hildebrant, former hospitalist, chief medical information officer and chairman of the Department of Medicine at Rutland Regional Medical Center, has been appointed commissioner at the Vermont Department of Health by Gov. Phil Scott. He began his new role on Oct. 13.

Hildebrant hold a bachelor's degree in biochemistry and molecular biology and a master's degree in biotechnology from Boston University, an MBA from Mass Amherst's Isenberg School of Management and a Doctor of Medicine from Drexel University College of Medicine.

Lamoille Health Partners, a federally qualified health center providing integrated primary care, dental, behavioral health and physical therapy services throughout the Lamoille Valley, has promoted Chief Medical Officer Lance Broy, M.D., to CEO. In his new role, Broy will continue to provide patient care while leading the organization.

Tonia Fleming, former director of advancement at Vermont Academy, has joined Springfield Hospital as director of marketing and planning. This position marks a return to Springfield Hospital for Fleming, who previously worked in the development office from 2011 to 2019.
