JAG Productions hires first full-time managing director
JAG Productions, a Vermont-based producer of classic and contemporary African-American theater, has hired Jason Schumacher as its first fulll-time managing director. With more than 20 years of professional theater, film and television experience, Schumacher will join founder and Producing Artistic Director Jarvis Green and recently named Director of Development Tamara Waraschinski as part of JAG Productions’ core leadership team.

Vermont Legal Aid executive director announces retirement
Eric Avildsen, executive director of Vermont Legal Aid since 1988, has announced his intention to retire at the end of October. Under Avildsen's direction, the size of staff and breadth of legal work undertaken has increased significantly.
"Eric is certainly leaving the organization stronger than ever," said board chair Robert Appel, who has served with Avildsen for the past 10 years. "It’s a privilege to count him as both a colleague and a friend.”
