In the month of December MyWebGrocer added six new members to their team, bringing the total of new employees hired in the fourth quarter of 2011 to 23. The new employees joined the departments of software engineering, advertising operations, retail operations, system analysts, search engine optimization and project coordination.

Vermont College of Fine Arts (VCFA), a national center for graduate education in the fine arts, announced today that Matthew Monk, Professor of Graphic Design at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), has been named Academic Dean beginning July 1, 2012. As Chief Academic Officer of the College, Monk will oversee all academic affairs.

Freeman French Freeman, Architects has hired Mike Ballard as Marketing Coordinator and Kristie Long as Financial Administrator. Ballard is a skilled writer and designer with more than a decade of experience in marketing and communications. He holds a Masters degree in Urban Planning from Cornell University.

Prominent local attorneys Wilhelmina Dingemans Miller and Elizabeth K. Rattigan have joined the offices of the northern New England law firm of Downs Rachlin Martin PLLC. The two women have become directors of the firm and both will work from DRM’s Lebanon Office.

The National Association of State Boards of Education (NASBE) is pleased to announce that Fayneese Miller and Sean-Marie Oller, members of the Vermont State Board of Education, have been selected to serve on a year-long NASBE study group—The Role of Technology in Schools and Communities—to examine the compound issues surrounding the ever-expanding use of digital technology in K-12 education.
