Shelburne Museum Director Thomas Denenberg announced that Jeff Bundy has been named director of development.
Bundy joins the museum after a decade at WHYY, the National Public Radio station and Public Broadcasting Service affiliate in Philadelphia.

Shelburne Eyeworks owner Sally Elkins has announced the sale of her business to employees Greg and Sheila Guilmartin. As an independent optical shop, Shelburne Eyeworks has been providing quality eyewear with attentive, personal service for 25 years.

800response has announced the hiring of two new employees. Both started in February.
Kate Kinney joins the accounting team at 800response as a staff accountant and will be preparing financial statements for the business. Prior to 800response, Kate ran her own accounting consulting business.

Jody Freeman has been honored as the winner of the 2013 Barwood Sales Achievement Award for personal lines insurance.

New England Federal Credit Union (NEFCU) announced recently that Rob Wheeler has been promoted to Business Loan Manager, with oversight of business loan production, operations, compliance and servicing. Rob has been with NEFCU for 10 years and has been instrumental in the formation and success of business lending.

BAYADA Hospice in Burlington has announced that TylaAnn Burger, RN, CHPCA, has been named associate director, responsible for leading the team and managing all operations of the office. The office provides high quality end-of-life services— including clinical, emotional, social, and spiritual—to adults and seniors throughout Vermont.

Mansfield Hall, a Burlington-based college assistance and residential program for students with learning challenges, mild autism, and other conditions, welcomed Jasmine Lamb as program director. As program director, Lamb oversees day-to-day operations of Mansfield Hall and works closely with staff to provide an integrated program of support to its resident college students.

Girls on the Run Vermont has announced that Leslie Myette has joined the organization as the new Event Director/Office Manager.

Three Vermont Tech students were celebrated at the annual Engineers Week 2014 banquet at the Doubletree Hotel in South Burlington, Vt. on Friday, February 21 for their academic achievements in the college’s engineering program.

James Jutras, Water Quality Superintendent for the Essex Junction, Vermont Wastewater Treatment Plant, was honored by EPA with a "2013 Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Excellence Award" recently. Mr. Jutras was selected for the recognition because of the outstanding job he has performed over the years in operating and maintaining the Essex Junction facility.

At the recent annual meeting of the cancer patient support program (CPS), a new executive board was named. Continuing for a second term, Diane Freiheit, MS was named president. A member of the CPS Board since 2009, Freiheit is a licensed Psychologist-Master and psychotherapist in private practice.

The first female OB/GYN in the history of North Country OB/GYN joined the practice February 10. Dr. Jeanette West has relocated to Newport from North Conway, NH where she worked at Memorial Hospital and at MWV Health Care Associates. She joins Dr. Peter Stuart, Dr. William Peck and Certified Nurse Midwife Lesley Rae Larsen.
