Jan Alsofrom has been elected board chair of the Burlington nonprofit, Imaging the World. Jane is former Radiation Therapy Program Director at the University of Vermont where she also has taught classes in the radiation therapy degree program. She also is chair of the Vermont Board of Radiologic Technology.

Vermont Housing Finance Agency (VHFA) “Top Performers” recognizes organizations and individuals who had the highest VHFA production from January 1st through December 31st, 2018. Vermont Federal Credit Union was ranked first among all 18 Vermont participating lenders, which includes Credit Unions, Banks, and Mortgage Companies.

University of Vermont president Tom Sullivan has been appointed to the NCAA Division I Committee on Infractions. He will begin serving immediately and continue through August 31, 2021. The committee is an independent administrative body charged with deciding infractions cases involving NCAA member institutions, their employees and their students.

Executive Director Leisa Pollander is happy to announce that Margie Kehr has joined its Board of Directors. “I am excited to have Margie join the Center's board. Theresa Lever was named 2018 Auxilian of the Year by the Central Vermont Medical Center Auxiliary in recognition of her continued work in supporting cancer patients. “Our honoree for this year loves to sing,” said Marilyn White, President of the CVMC Auxiliary. “She loves to help others and is very involved in the hospital and the community.”

Robert Tarnas, MD, a physician at SVMC Pownal Campus, a part of Southwestern Vermont Health Care (SVHC) and Southwestern Vermont Medical Center (SVMC), has been elected as SVMC’s chair of the Family Medicine Department. Tarnas has worked at the practice since 2015 and has been a member of the SVMC medical staff since 1985.

Jayme DeMers, VP, Retail Delivery & Strategic Initiatives, joined Bar Harbor Bank & Trust in 2018 as Assistant Vice President. She is a graduate of the Connecticut School of Finance & Management and has been in banking for 15 years, starting as Teller and moving to positions of increased responsibility over the years.

Tom Bazzano of OneDigital Health and Benefits has recently been promoted to Benefits Consultant. Tom has worked at OneDigital since 2016 as a Market Analyst. He worked closely with clients on projects including monthly financial and utilization data reporting, quoting efforts, and strategic modeling.

Marissa Landry has worked at OneDigital since 2017, first as an Administrative Assistant and then as a Client Service Specialist. In these roles Marissa supported the sales and client management staff by assisting with group enrollments, renewal processes and additional administrative functions designed to improve and enhance workflows, timeliness, and client responsiveness.
