Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility will recognize state Sen. Kesha Ram Hinsdale, D-Chittenden-Southeast, as its 2024 Legislator of the Year at the organization's legislative breakfast on Dec. 11.

Girls on the Run Vermont, a statewide nonprofit organization for girls in third through eighth grade, has appointed three new members and a new secretary to its board of directors.

New board members include:

Dani Delaini, former deputy director at Adirondack North Country Association in Saranac Lake, New York, has joined Brattleboro Development Credit Corp. as assistant director and head of business acceleration.

Mike Solimano, president and CEO of Killington Resort & Pico Mountain, has been named recipient of the fourth annual U.S. Sen. Patrick Leahy Trailblazer Award by the Vermont Outdoor Business Alliance.

Paul Suk-Hyun Yoon, former senior adviser for inclusive excellence at the University of Vermont, has joined Vermont State University as chief diversity officer. Yoon, who began work in October, reports directly to President David Bergh and serves on the university’s executive leadership team.

Central Vermont Economic Development Corp. announced Wilkins Harley-Davidson and restaurateur Brian Lewis as its 2024 Central Vermont Business of the Year and 2024 Innovator of the Year, respectively, at the nonprofit’s 48th annual meeting Oct. 20 in Montpelier. Both awards were presented by CVEDC Executive Director Melissa Bounty.
