Central Vermont Economic Development Corp. announced Wilkins Harley-Davidson and restaurateur Brian Lewis as its 2024 Central Vermont Business of the Year and 2024 Innovator of the Year, respectively, at the nonprofit’s 48th annual meeting Oct. 20 in Montpelier. Both awards were presented by CVEDC Executive Director Melissa Bounty.

Wilkins Harley-Davidson was cited for its community impact and advocacy for motorcycle ownership as a way to enjoy the beautiful landscapes of Vermont and beyond.

“This award is a testament to the incredible support we have received from our local community, without which we would not be where we are today,” Lyon said. “The trust and loyalty of our riders, along with the dedication of our team, has helped Wilkins Harley-Davidson grow into one of the top dealerships in New England.”

Lewis, owner of the Parkway Diner in South Burlington and the Filling Station in Middlesex, was honored for helping other restaurateurs find the supplies and resources they needed to continue operating after July's significant flooding across the state.
