Marlboro College announced today the addition of three new members to its board of trustees.
All three of the new trustees have previous ties to the college. Two are alumna, Gretchen Holbrook Gerzina '72 and Elizabeth Doyle Glenshaw '81, while Suzanne Marie Olbricht is the mother of alumnus Michael Harrist '10 and Ariel Harrist, who just completed her freshman year.
The Vermont legislature recently honored Middlebury attorney Peter Langrock, a founding partner of the law firm of Langrock Sperry & Wool LLP. The concurrent resolution recognized the fiftieth anniversary of his being admitted to the bar and his subsequent contributions to the Vermont way of life.
Southern Vermont College has named John Baackes to its Board of Trustees. Baackes is the chief executive officer of Senior Whole Health (SWH), which operates plans for dual-eligible beneficiaries in Mass., Ct., and N.Y. Under Baackes’ direction, Senior Whole Health has developed a program for improving the overall access and quality of elderly care in both the public and private sectors.
Reggie Greene, Senior Vice President, Merchants Bank, announced the appointment of Christopher Halnon as Vice President and Corporate Banking Officer for the Woodstock Avenue, Rutland Office of the Bank. The new facility, opened in January 2010, is located at 92 Woodstock Avenue and is double the previous location’s size.
