Citizens Bank has hired Amy Downey as business banking officer in Colchester. She is responsible for overseeing the development of new and existing relationships with business customers, consulting with business owners to identify banking needs and working with business banking officers and branch staff to provide quality customer service.
Downey has more than 15 years of experience in banking, business development and sales. Prior to Citizens, she was assistant vice president, branch sales manager for Beneficial/HSBC in Plattsburgh, N.Y., where she was named the #1 branch manager in the country.
Downey is a graduate of State University of New York in Canton with a bachelor’s degree in business. She is a member of the United Way and volunteers at the Salvation Army and Junior Achievement. Downey lives in Altona, N.Y., with her husband, Shawn, and their two children.
