Administration Secretary Neale Lunderville announced today that Chief Technology Officer Tom Evslin will coordinate the executive branch activities necessary to successfully meet the Challenges for Change agreed to by the Governor and Legislative leaders last week. The joint reform initiative is expected to net $38 million in savings in FY2011 and twice that in FY2012 and beyond, while actually improving the outcomes of state government actions.

The Fletcher Allen Health Care Board of Trustees accepted the appointments of two new trustees at their December meeting – Paul Danielson, D.M.D., an oral surgeon with Champlain Valley Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, South Burlington, and John Neuhauser, Ph.D., president, Saint Michael’s College, Colchester.

The Board also elected Board member Roger Stone, former president of Burlington-based Stone Investment Advisory, Inc., to serve as Board Chair, replacing Chris Dutton, former chief executive officer, Green Mountain Power, who stepped down at the expiration of his term.

The White House announced Friday that President Obama has accepted the recommendation of Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.) and will nominate veteran economic development specialist Molly Lambert to be the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s State Director for Rural Development for Vermont and New Hampshire.
