Megan Flanagan of Colchester, Vt., and Hilary Richard of Milton, both students at Saint Michael's College, were awarded the 2010 Governor's Award for Outstanding Community Service through the Vermont Commission on National and Community Service. Governor James Douglas presented the award at the state Capitol in Montpelier on April 10.

Power Shift of Stowe expands its Web Design Department
Local Internet company, Power Shift, is pleased to announce the hiring of Larissa Kepchar as web designer and project coordinator, as well as the promotion of Ryan Meravi to sales manager.
Kepchar, of Morrisville, will coordinate all aspects of web design and project scheduling. She will have regular client contact and help manage new web hosting accounts. Previously, Larissa was employed by The Wall Street Analyst Forum in Stowe, and she has an Associate of Science degree in Multi Media and Web Design from The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale.

Larry Sudbay, President and Chief Executive Officer of SymQuest® Group, announced that Jon Pratt, Field Support Engineer, has successfully completed the Hewlett Packard (HP) Authorized Platform Specialist (APS) certification process. This certification is required for SymQuest to maintain its status as an HP Authorized Service Provider (APS). As an HP APS, SymQuest can perform warranty work for HP servers that other service providers without certification cannot offer.
