O’Brien to Receive CSJ’s Commitment to Excellence Award

The College of St. Joseph in Rutland, VT, is pleased to name Tom O’Brien of O’Brien, Shortle, Reynolds, & Sabotka, CPA, the recipient of its “Commitment to Excellence” Award, presented annually at the CSJ Gala event, to be held February 25, 2011. O’Brien, of Rutland, is co-founder of his own business, has served as an Assistant Professor of Business at the college since 1975, and is active in the Rutland community, having served on several boards, currently including RRMC, the Rutland Free Library, and Heritage Family Credit Union.

Julia Andrews Moves To Spike Advertising

Julia has worked in a variety of sales, marketing and operations positions at Charter Communications and Comcast, and founded her own marketing consultancy, J. Champlain College Home to 2010 VT Professor of the Year

Gary Scudder, assistant dean for Global Engagement at Champlain College has been named the 2010 Vermont Professor of the Year by The Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching and the Council for Advancement and Support of Education. He was selected from more than 300 top professors nominated by their

colleges and universities across the United States. The award was presented at a special ceremony held in Washington, D.C. This is the first time that a Champlain College professor has been selected for this national honor.
