Theresa Vezina, former executive director at Vermont CARES, has been appointed as special assistant on overdose prevention center implementation for the city of Burlington. In this role, she will work with community providers, public health officials and Burlington residents to ensure the successful opening of the prevention center, which is expected within the next year.

United Counseling Service promotes Amie Niles to director of operations
United Counseling Service of Bennington County has announced the promotion of Amie Niles from mental health first aid trainer to director of operations. She succeeds Amy Fell, who has been promoted to chief operating officer.
Niles is a graduate of the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. She was recognized by UCS with the Peter D. Scully Award in 2020 for dedication and professionalism in communicating with colleagues and clients.
