Franks joins WNCS, The Point Radio Network
Serena Franks is the new Administrative Assistant at The Point’s main office in Montpelier along side Office and Business Manager, Jeanette Hosford.
Franks began working as The Point’s Administrative Assistant in late June of this year. “I’m kind of like Jeanette’s right hand girl,” She explained. Franks keeps track of the office’s daily log, handles client traffic that comes through as well as processes client contracts for The Point.
Burlington Business Association welcomes Jeff McLaughlin as communications & membership manager
The Burlington Business Association welcomed Jeff McLaughlin as the organization’s new Communications & Membership Manager in mid August. McLaughlin will work to streamline the organization’s public communication, social media and membership outreach efforts while helping support the BBA's mission.
“I am pleased to welcome Jeff to the efforts established here at BBA,” said Kelly Devine of the new hire. “His background and special skill set will greatly contribute to the goals we have set.”
New lodging property, bordering Green Mountain National Forest, opens in Ripton
The Addison County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the opening of Robert Frost Mountain Cabins—also its newest member. Located on 112 acres in Ripton, the property currently features two timber frame cabins in addition to a meeting room designed for larger gatherings. Eventually the owners, Marty and Carol Kulczyk, plan to build eight more cabins for a total of ten. An open house and ribbon cutting ceremony was held recently to celebrate and allow friends and neighbors to tour the new cabins.
