Serena Franks is the new Administrative Assistant at The Point’s main office in Montpelier along side Office and Business Manager, Jeanette Hosford.
Franks began working as The Point’s Administrative Assistant in late June of this year. “I’m kind of like Jeanette’s right hand girl,” She explained. Franks keeps track of the office’s daily log, handles client traffic that comes through as well as processes client contracts for The Point.
Franks attended Lyndon State College where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Sports Management. “I think it’s really funny that I’m working in radio with a sports management degree, but it’s great!” she said.
She had been looking for something business related and came across The Point’s ad. “I thought it would be really interesting to work in radio, I had never done anything in this industry before, so I’m really enjoying discovering all the ins and outs of it; it’s very exciting and new,” said Franks.
Franks recently made her radio debut, lending her voice to a public service announcement for Essex Chips and also to an advertisement for the Moose River Lake and Lodge in St. Johnsbury.
“It’s interesting how everyone’s job here plays into the big picture of music and radio; it’s very cool to be a part of it,” Said Franks.
