RSG appoints new chief executive officer

The Board of Directors of Resource Systems Group announces the appointment of Stephen Lawe as Chief Executive Officer effective December 1, 2012. Lawe joined RSG in 1988, during the firm’s third year of operations, and has worked in every aspect of the company over the years. During his tenure at RSG, he rose from analyst to, most recently, Vice President of RSG's Transportation & Environment practice. In addition, he served on the Board of Directors from 1996 to 2009.

Josephine R. Cole promoted to Senior Vice President at People’s United Bank

People’s United Bank announced today that Jody Cole has been promoted to Senior Vice President for the Commercial and Industrial Lending team at People’s United Bank. Cole supports the lending needs of her customers in the Chittenden County area.

Cole joined People’s United Bank in 1987, as a commercial lending trainee and then moved on to business banker. In 2000, she was promoted to a Commercial Banking Officer and Vice President.

She holds a BA from UVM and graduate credits from St. Michael’s College.

Vermont Agency of Natural Resources welcomes Justin Johnson as Deputy Secretary

Vermont Agency of Natural Resources Secretary Deb Markowitz has nnounced that Justin Johnson, current Deputy Commissioner of Vermont’s Department of Environmental Conservation, will become Deputy Secretary of the Vermont Agency of Natural Resources, replacing Chris Recchia who was appointed last month as Commissioner of the Department of Public Service.

Cara Gluck joins Marketing Partners

Marketing Partners, Inc. has announced the addition of Cara Gluck to its team as an Assistant Account Executive – Media Specialist. In her new role, Cara will provide marketing assistance and media buying services.

She joins Marketing Partners, Inc. as a recent graduate of Emerson College in Boston with a Bachelors of Science degree in Marketing Communications.

Three Wilmington residents honored with merit award from the American Institute of Architects, Vermont Chapter.

Three Wilmington residents were recently honored with a Merit Award from the American Institute of Architects, Vermont Chapter. Architect Joseph Cincotta, Contractor Larry Mill and Finish Carpenter Ronnie Poplar all received certificates for their work on the LineSync Architecture Studio and Offices in an award ceremony at the Vermont Statehouse.

KSV expands its social media and PR team

Kelliher Samets Volk (KSV), a Burlington-based marketing firm with offices in Boston and New York, welcomes Alexa Mucklow to its marketing team as a social media associate.

Mucklow joins the KSV team as a full-time employee following an extensive internship with the company. Prior to KSV, she gained valuable client-side marketing experience while interning with Green Mountain Coffee Roasters in the public relations department. Mucklow is a graduate of the University of Vermont, where she earned a degree in business administration.

2012 Vermont Tree Stewards are announced

Secretary of the Agency of Natural Resources, Deb Markowitz, and the Vermont Urban and Community Forestry Council will recognize the recipients of this year’s Vermont Tree Stewards Awards on Wednesday, December 12, 5 PM, Cedar Creek Room, State House Montpelier. Each year the Council sponsors the awards as a way to recognize Vermont’s community tree champions. “These awards help us say thank you for the great work volunteers are doing to promote trees in our communities,” says Lee Krohn, Chair of the Urban & Community Forestry Council.
