The Board of Directors of Resource Systems Group announces the appointment of Stephen Lawe as Chief Executive Officer effective December 1, 2012. Lawe joined RSG in 1988, during the firm’s third year of operations, and has worked in every aspect of the company over the years. During his tenure at RSG, he rose from analyst to, most recently, Vice President of RSG's Transportation & Environment practice. In addition, he served on the Board of Directors from 1996 to 2009.
“Stephen has lived, breathed and bled RSG for almost 25 years now,” Tom Adler, RSG’s co-founder and President said. "He began in our traffic impact practice. Then, as now, he was exceptionally energetic, a quick study and a man of many talents." Along with others on his team, he helped build RSG's transportation, environmental and software engineering areas into significant national practices. Lawe's unanimous appointment as CEO reflects the Board's confidence that he will serve the company exceptionally well in this new role.

Lawe holds an undergraduate degree in Political Science & Philosophy from St. Lawrence University as well as two master’s degrees: a master’s focusing on Resource Policy Management from Dartmouth College and a Master of Studies in Environmental Law from Vermont Law School. He also served for several years on the summer faculty at Vermont Law School, where he taught environmental law.
