Alison earned her Nurse Executive, Advanced-Board Certified (NEA-BC) administered through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. “A nurse needs several years of experience as a senior nurse executive in order to qualify to take the exam and the test content is vast,” said Alison

Central Vermont Medical Center employees adopted 40 families from Barre City, Barre Town, Graniteville, Williamstown, Warren, Montpelier, E. Family information, ages and wish lists, no names, are provided by the Vermont Department of Children and Families, Agency of Human Services. Representatives of the department came by to pick up the hundreds of presents collected in the Adopt-a-Family project coordinated by CVMC’s Department of Human Resources employees.
Peter Hetz of Charlotte, Vermont has joined the board of The BOMA Project, a micro-finance nonprofit with offices in Northern Kenya and Manchester, Vermont. Hetz is vice president of Tetra Tech – ARD and has 35 years of experience in international development, including two decades working in Africa as a project technician and team leader.
Jeff Kaufer of Bennington, spa manager at Concord Pools & Spas in Latham, N.Y., has been named a “Capital Heroes” honoree by Capital Bank, a division of Chemung Canal Trust Company and NEWS10 ABC, for spearheading an effort to collect desperately needed supplies for Hurricane Sandy victims in his hometown of Long Beach, Long Island.
The SCORE Foundation has announced the selection of Joan Denizot, founder and president of Zize Bikes, a Vermont-based company that custom builds indestructible bicycles, as one of the 102 nationwide beneficiaries of the 2012 SCORE and Sam’s Club Holiday Program. This program aims to bring cheer to small business owners and help them grow by providing training and resources.
