Hospital diagnostic services director appointed to State Board
North Country Hospital's very own Brian Bidwell has been appointed by Governor Peter Shumlin to the six-member state Board of Radiologic Technology. In this capacity, he participates in legislative oversight and judicial review of issues and events in the field of Radiologic Technology in the State of Vermont.
“It is truly an honor to have been appointed by Governor Shumlin to the Board of Radiologic Technology,” Brian said. “It provides me with reaffirmation that my skills, knowledge, and experience are recognized and appreciated by decision makers in my field.”

Justin Stinnett M.D. joins CVMC hospitalist team
Dr. Justin Stinnett recently completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Fletcher Allen Health Care and has joined the Central Vermont Medical Center Hospitalist team.
He received his undergraduate degree, a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with Great Distinction, from Clarkson University in Potsdam, New York. He earned a M.S. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Vermont (UVM) College of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences and his Doctor of Medicine from the UVM Medical School.
Esri honors John E. Wennberg, Dartmouth Atlas Founder, with Making a Difference Award
John E. Wennberg, MD, MPH, founder of the Dartmouth Atlas, received the 2013 Esri Making a Difference Award at the plenary session of Esri’s annual International User’s Conference in San Diego.
For more than 20 years, the Dartmouth Atlas has documented glaring variations in how medical resources are distributed and used in the United States. The project uses Medicare data to provide comprehensive information and analysis about national, regional and local markets, as well as individual hospitals and their affiliated physicians.
Pittsburgh Brewing Co names Brian Walsh, of Long Trail Brewing, CEO
Uni-World Capital has named Brian G. Walsh, 58, Chief Executive Officer of Pittsburgh Brewing Company, effective immediately. Walsh assumes the leadership position from Board member and interim CEO Rob Matteucci, who served in the role since May.
Berkshire Hills announces resignation of CFO and appointment of principal accounting officer
Berkshire Hills Bancorp, Inc. (NYSE: BHLB) the parent company of Berkshire Bank, announced that Kevin P. Riley, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, will be resigning on July 12, 2013 to pursue another opportunity. The company has initiated a replacement search for this position.
