Ryan Libbey joins DuBois & King

DuBois & King consulting engineers announce that Ryan Libbey, EIT, has joined the firm as a Dam Engineer in the Civil Works Division. A recent graduate of Clarkson University with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Ryan lives in Swanton and works out of the firm’s Randolph Office.

Founded in 1962, DuBois & King provides multidiscipline engineering services from offices in Randolph, South Burlington, and Springfield, Vermont and Bedford and Laconia, New Hampshire.

Tommy Verdell named assistant athletic director and men's basketball coach at Johnson State College

Johnson State College has appointed Tommy Verdell of the Bates College coaching staff as JSC’s new assistant athletics director and head men's basketball coach.

"We are excited to welcome Tommy Verdell to Johnson State,” said JSC Director of Athletics Jamey Ventura. “His experiences at the NCAA Division III and DI levels as well as at the high school and professional levels make him a great addition to Johnson."

Southern Vermont College names Stacey Hills chair of business division, Jennifer Burchair of humanities division

Southern Vermont College has announced two new chairs of academic divisions, with associate professor of marketing Stacey Hills becoming the Chair of The McCormick Division of Business this summer and Jennifer Burg being named the Chair of The Hunter Division of Humanities for the past semester. Both chairs bring a PhD to their respective new positions and a combined 30 years of teaching experience at the college level.

Brother Lino Oropeza from Caracas, Venezuela will take his Final Vows and Br. Michael Carter from South Burlington, Vermont will take his First Vows at the 11:15 a.m. Mass on August 15th at Saint Anne’s Shrine in Isle La Motte, Vermont. This celebration of the Mass will bring together all members of the Society of St. Edmund, including those in Vermont and those in the Edmundite southern missions in Selma, AL.
