Eric Baral joins Davis & Hodgdon accounting firm

Eric Baral has joined Davis & Hodgdon Associates CPAs as an Associate Accountant. Eric graduated from the University of Vermont with a Master’s Degree in Accounting. He also graduated from Siena College in New York with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting where he was a member of the Siena College Leadership Council in 2012 and President of the Accounting Student Association. Eric currently resides in Burlington.

AllEarth’s Andrew Savage elected to national solar industry board

Andrew Savage, with the Vermont solar manufacturer AllEarth Renewables, has been elected to serve on the board of directors representing the national solar industry.

Savage joins the Board of Directors for the Solar Energy Industry Association's (SEIA), the U.S. solar energy trade association with more than 1,000 member companies and representing a more than $11.5 billion American industry.

Evan Andrews, PE, joins DuBois & King

DuBois & King consulting engineers announce that Evan Andrews, PE has joined the firm as a Senior Engineer/Project Manager. Mr. Andrews is a civil and environmental engineer with 16 years of experience in solid waste, recycling, and materials management consulting. He will lead the firm’s efforts in providing planning, design and implementation of solid waste management solutions. Evan lives in South Burlington and works in the firm’s Randolph office.

NMC names new assistant vice president of physician practices

Northwestern Medical Center is pleased to announce that Maria Mateus has joined the hospital in the role of Assistant Vice President of Physician Practices.

Mateus most recently worked at Aiken Regional Medical Center, in Aiken South Carolina as the Administrative Director for Aiken Professional Associates. Prior to that, she spent 11 years at community hospitals in Indiana working in various capacities including director of practice operations, director of physician services and business development and practice manager.

Willem Lange will be the keynote speaker at CVAA's Annual Meeting & Volunteer Recognition on Oct 29 from 3:00-4:30 pm at the Doubletree Hotel and Conference Center in South Burlington. Lang is an acclaimed commentator for Vermont Public Radio and the host of New Hampshire Public Television’s weekly show “Windows to the Wild.” In 1973 Lange founded the Geriatric Adventure Society, a group of outdoor enthusiasts. Lange will discuss “Aging With Humor.”
