Kathy Brown named NCSS Director of Developmental Services

Ted J. Mable, Ed.D., Executive Director of Northwestern Counseling & Support Services is pleased to announce the recent appointment of Kathleen M. Brown, MA, CRC as the new Director of Developmental Services. Prior to this appointment Kathy served, for a six month period, as the Interim Director of the Developmental Services Division. Kathy began her NCSS career in 2006 and has served as a Team Leader and a Program Manager prior to taking the Interim position earlier this year.

The Stern Center for Language and Learning announces two new members to its board

The Stern Center for Language and Learning, a nonprofit learning center with locations in Williston, Vermont and West Lebanon, New Hampshire, elected the following new members to its Board of Directors during its 31st Annual Meeting on October 16, 2014: Bud Meyers of Colchester, VT is the Founding Director of Lighthouse Evaluation. He previously served as Director for the James Jeffords Center for Policy Research, and worked as the Deputy Commissioner for the Vermont State Department of Education.

Ron Cioffi named Chamber Business Person of the Year

The Rutland Region Chamber of Commerce announced on October 29, 2014 at their Annual Meeting (sponsored by GE-Avaiation) that Ron Cioffi (Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer) at Rutland Area Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice is the Chamber's 2014 Business Person of the Year.

Cioffi was presented the award by Congressman Peter Welch, Rutland City Mayor Chris Louras, and Chamber officials.

Mercedes-Benz honors senior sales consultant at The Automaster with highest award

The Automaster has announced that Matt Shanks, Mercedes-Benz Senior Sales Consultant and Business Manager, has been honored with the highest award given by Mercedes-Benz; the Sales Laureate Award.

The award, which requires numerous qualifications including the dealership itself being ranked among the top 50 percent of Mercedes-Benz dealerships in the United States, was presented to just 36 Master Certified Sales Consultants in the U.S.

Gina Pattison named BMH Director of Development and Marketing

Brattleboro Memorial Hospital announces Gina Pattison has accepted the position of Director of Development and Marketing and will start on December 1, 2014.

Pattison has been employed by the American Cancer Society for the past 13 years, first as a Community Executive on the development team and then as Senior Director of Distinguished Events. Her fundraising experience includes coordination and execution of signature ACS initiatives such as Relay For Life, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer and Daffodil Days, as well as major gift campaigns, galas and golf tournaments.

Rosanna J. Welton, PA joins CVMC Express Care Staff

Central Vermont Medical Center’s Express Care facility is pleased to welcome Rosanna J. Welton, PA to the staff of this busy clinic on the Barre Montpelier Road.

“We are delighted Rosanna joined our Express Care team,” said CVMC President and CEO Judy Tartaglia. “She brings valuable experience from her work in Pennsylvania – first as an EMT and later working in an emergency department as a PA.”

Seleem Choudhury, Vice President and Chief of Nursing at NVRH inducted into Academy of Emergency Nursing Select group

The Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) recently announced that Seleem Choudhury, Vice President and Chief of Nursing at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital has been inducted into the Academy of Emergency Nursing (AEN). The AEN fellowship is a prestigious honor recognizing emergency nurses for their significant contributions to quality patient care, both in and out of the emergency department. The candidates for induction, admitted to AEN as Fellows, have made significant contributions to emergency nursing that go above and beyond being an outstanding nurse and a devoted ENA member.

Woodring to rejoin Retreat as VP of Quality and Clinical Services

The Brattleboro Retreat has announced that Kirk Woodring, LICSW, will rejoin the hospital’s executive leadership team starting November 3rd as Vice President of Quality and Clinical Services. He returns to the Retreat where he previously served as an inpatient social worker and as Senior Director of Access, Evaluation, Ambulatory, and Security Services.
