Robin Heald promoted to BMH VP of human resources

Brattleboro Memorial Hospital President and CEO, Steven R. Gordon, announced that Robin Heald, currently serving as BMH’s Director of Human Resources, is being promoted to the position of Vice President – Human Resources.

Coldwell Banker Hickok & Boardman Realty has announced the promotion of Nancy Seidel and Renee LaPorte.

Nancy Seidel has been promoted to Operations Manager & Client Care Coordinator. Since joining the firm in 2010, Nancy has managed several system conversions improving operational efficiency designed to enhance the client and Agent experience. Nancy also oversees the company’s home services program connecting clients with local service providers.

Sue Miller-Goulet named Employee of the Month at Mt Ascutney Hospital and Health Center

Dr Mark A Creager appointed center director of D-H Heart and Vascular Center

Dartmouth-Hitchcock health system (D-H) has appointed Dr. Mark A. Creager, Professor of Medicine at Harvard and a nationally known expert in the field of cardiovascular diseases, as Center Director of the D-H Heart and Vascular Center. Dr. Creager comes to Dartmouth-Hitchcock and the Geisel School of Medicine after a distinguished career at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA. Currently, he is President-elect of the American Heart Association and will serve as President from 2015-16.

SVMC ExpressCare adds Crystal Hasty, PA

Southwestern Vermont Medical Center (SVMC) has announced the appointment of Vermont native Crystal Hasty, PA, as a physician assistant in the hospital’s ExpressCare department.

Hasty has lived and worked in Colorado, Georgia, Maine and Montana over the past several years.

Casey Kolb Nava, MD, joins hospitalist service

Dr. Kolb Nava recently joined the Hospitalist staff at the University of Vermont Health Network - Central Vermont Medical Center.

Dr. Kolb Nava received her Bachelor of Science in Biology, cum laude from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. She earned her Doctor of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Kolb Nava did her Internal Medicine residency at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Hanover New Hampshire. She was most recently Chief Medical Resident in Dartmouth Hitchcock’s Internal Medicine Department.

Dr Robert E Simpson named 2015 recipient of the Brattleboro Retreat’s Anna Marsh Award

The Brattleboro Retreat Board of Trustees has announced that outgoing President and CEO, Dr. Robert E. Simpson, Jr., will be presented with the hospital’s 2015 Anna Marsh Award this fall.

Named for the founder of the Brattleboro Retreat, the Anna Marsh Award is an annual recognition that was established in 2009 to honor individuals for their advocacy on behalf of people with mental illness and addiction.
