The sixteen appointed members of the state agency, the Vermont Commission on Women, have re-elected Marcia Merrill of Jericho to serve a 4th term as Chair. Ms. Merrill has served in this leadership role since 2006.
PC Construction has announced the promotion of Dennis J. “Chip” LaBonte II to the position of vice president. In his new role, LaBonte will oversee PC Construction’s wastewater and water treatment plant operations nationwide and strengthen the company’s executive leadership for project teams in this market.
Elizabeth Harlow, a Commercial Lines Customer Service Agent in Kinney Pike Insurance’s Williston Office, was recently recognized as Insurance Professional of the Year by the Champlain Valley/Northern Vermont Chapter of the Champlain Valley Association of Insurance Professionals (CVAIP). Harlow was honored with this award at a recent gathering of Insurance Professionals in Essex, Vermont. The award recognizes an individual who, in pursuing a career, has contributed to the insurance industry through education and creation of industry alliances.
The Vermont Retail & Grocers Association (VRGA) has announced its scholarship winners for the 2015-2016 academic year. For over 25 years, the association’s Scholarship Program has provided financial assistance for college to members’ employees and/or their children.
This year, 10 scholarships of $1,500 each, totaling $15,000 were awarded.
The ribbon is cut at the Rutland Region Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting and Grand Opening Celebration for Otter Creek Fun Center located at 1800 Route 7 in Danby, VT.
Otter Creek Fun Center is the regions new family fun center. There is a full arcade with a little bit of something for everyone and an 18 hole miniature golf course. Otter Creek Fun Center is open 7 days a week, 10am-10pm for your enjoyment.
The center is also available for birthday parties, corporate events, fundraising events and groups. Food is available on site as well.
