Lisa Edwards chosen for Safeco Award of Excellence

Vermont Mutual completes leadership transition with Bridge and McDonnell

With the June 30th retirement of CEO William Catto, President Dan Bridge will take on the Chief Executive role. Current Senior Vice President Mark McDonnell will elevate to the number two position in the organization and partner with Bridge to lead the company.

“This completes a well-planned leadership transition that began several years ago”, said Bridge. “Since joining the company in 2014, Mark has made significant contributions to our organization and I look forward to partnering with him as we move the company forward.”

Ken Merritt and Sharon Merritt recognized by Chambers USA 2015

Williston-Richmond Rotary donates to the Split the Ticket Program

The Williston-Richmond Rotary donated $2000 to the Split the Ticket Program. The fuel assistance fund was established by the Vermont Fuel Dealers Association more than two decades ago to provide a safety net during the cold winter months.

“The Williston Richmond Rotary has been one of the strongest supporters of this innovative and important heating assistance effort,” said VFDA Executive Director Matt Cota.

VSA Vermont recognized as a finalist for S Whitney Landon Award

At the June 4th Turrell Day at the Burlington Country Club, VSA Vermont was recognized as a finalist for the S. Whitney Landon Award for Start With The Arts (SWTA). Peggy Rainville, Director of Children’s Programming, accepted the award for VSA Vermont and is pictured at right with Curt Fields, President and CEO of the Turrell Fund, and Elizabeth W. Christie, Turrell Fund Board Member.

CVMC Auxiliary awards scholarships

The CVMC Auxiliary has awarded 10 scholarships of $2,500 each to students living in the CVMC service area who are pursuing a career in healthcare. The $25,000 for scholarships is earned through sales at two auxiliary-run shops, the Bene-Fit Shop in Barre and the gift shop in the hospital.

Scholarships for $2,500 each were awarded to:

* Kate Boucher, Montpelier, adult learner, nursing, University of Massachusetts, Amherst

* Chelsea Graves, Barre, Spaulding High School 2014 graduate, nursing, Vermont Technical College
