Says Carlson, “Our shared connection to the things that make Vermont special is what drives me as a journalist and lover of all things Vermont. Our region is loaded with some of the most interesting, inspiring and creative people found anywhere, both local folks and those visiting. We’ll catch up with them, whether in the studio or out on the road, and get a glimpse at what drives them.”
A longtime area journalist and broadcaster, Carlson is currently a leader at Green Mountain Power. She is perhaps best known for her 14 years on the air at WCAX-TV, where she was the chief political reporter and a news anchor.
Continued Carlson, “I’m excited by this opportunity to team up with Vermont PBS and get to connect with some of the folks who make up the fabric of life in Vermont. They are our neighbors and I’m excited to help tell their stories. I think our viewers will enjoy getting to know them, too.” Along with the broadcast, each week’s episode will be bolstered by additional online content, and all episodes will be viewable at vermontpbs.org.
