The national Volunteers in Medicine office is pleased to announce that Sasha K Bianchi has joined the organization as its new Executive Director. Sasha has dedicated her career to advocating for underserved populations. After graduating with high honors from Yale University, she began her professional life as a Teach for America special educator in Greater New Orleans. Her fifth graders faced significant barriers to success, including generational poverty, institutional racism and disability discrimination.
